ABOUT LEAP

PROJECT L.E.A.P. is a dance residency that introduces ballet to students ranging from elementary to high school. The acronym stands for LEARN, EMPOWER, ACHIEVE, and PERFORM. Our mission is to teach children the art of dance and provide them with the opportunity to participate in a performance, thereby fostering self-expression, self-worth, and achievable goals.

We offer PROJECT L.E.A.P. in two formats: first, by partnering with organizations that wish to incorporate dance into their student programs, and second, through our scholarship program at Peconic Ballet Theatre. Explore the sections below for more details on each opportunity.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Project LEAP offers a comprehensive dance program that includes ballet classes held once a week, culminating in a performance opportunity held at the Southampton Town Bureau.

The scholarship will cover all tuition costs, with the exception of a one-time fee of $40 for the dancer's ballet uniform. Program concludes with a performance opportunity.

For further inquiries about the program, please email Christiana@peconicballet.com.

LEAP Held at Schools/Organizations

PROJECT L.E.A.P. is also offered in schools and organizations as a 10-week program conducted on-site. This immersive experience includes once-a-week ballet classes, ballet slippers, performance costumes, and a full production held at your organization. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired dance skills and creativity in a supportive environment. Please email Christiana@peconicballet.com for more information and to inquire about setting program dates!
